2003 + 6.12.2003 + Finally some updates on english part of our sites. I’m sorry, but few last week was so busy in keepin’ DIY scene alive and didn’t found enough time on some updates. Anyway, they are here already. I’ll try to put informations more regular since now.
NEW RELEASES ON REFUSE RECORDS!! Since last time there’s 3 new releases was out on Refuse Records. So we have now six releases this year and most of them on CD format and one 7” vinyl. This is the latests:
BETERCORE „Youthcrust Discography!!” CD - this is european release of their CD, in US released on Six Weeks Records, released on Refuse Records in july. All the recordings and even more of this crazy ultra fast thrashy political hardcore band from Holland, country known from having great fastcore and old school HC bands since ages. BETERCORE is one of the highlights of the Dutch scene in a few last years and this CD can prove that. 29 fast songs with two singers (one of them, legendary Billi, sang in Boycot few years ago and their guitars, now drummer, played in Vitamin X too). This is hardcore with great spirited DIY punk roots, it’s how it should be! On the CD is also almost 20 minutes their video live recordings so there’s nothing to complain!
VITAMIN X „Now it’s our turn” cassette – released in june and it’s special release contains their first full length „See thru their lies”, „People That Bleed” 7” and their song from „Stronger Than Ever” compilation 7”. Total 30 songs of great fast straight edge hardcore with uncompromising political lyrics. This Dutch band is definitely one of the best european band right now and all of you having problems with buying vinyl and cd releases I suggest to check out this tape. It’s released with special cover and lots of pictures.

REFUSE MAILORDER CATALOG ON LINE I’m getting some complains about our catalog on line, and I swear that I’ll work on english reviews of our distributed releases. Please, take some patience as it’s hell of work. I’m going to put also more details about possibilities of ordering stuff from foreign countries, prices in foreign currencies etc. It seems that more and more people from other countries are interested in ordering directly from us as we are very glad from this support. REFUSE DIY FESTIVALS, GIGS AND TOURS I was extremely busy with many shows, some tours and two festival in a couple of last months, especially summer months. It was a lot of work but we have a chance to see many great bands playing in Poland so it was worth to sacrafice some time , money and energy. I was completely tired and burn out after series of shows organized this year and I decided to take a break for while with booking shows, but of course I’m not into give up!
Last time update was about Afterlife shows in Poland and since april Refuse was organized some other events.
THE CASANOVA ACTION in Poland – very nice band from Germany, Berlin, sounding much different than most of the bands I’m helping, but very cool at shows and very nice people too. They’re playing emotive rockish hardcore with some electro stuff. People liked their show. They played in Grudziadz, Zambrow, Czestochowa and Nowy Sacz.
REFUSE 10th YEAR ANNIVERSARY w/ WHAT HAPPENS NEXT in june – it was definitely one of the best show this year and for me personally amazing experience and one of the most important show in my life. Special show for 10 years of activities on Refuse with bunch of polish bands closest to my label like ZLODZIEJE ROWEROW, ONLY WAY OUT, JULIETTE, REGRES and KTO UKRADL CIASTKA, band that played special reunion show after 10 years and during this show I sand their song two times, which is pretty unique thing! SECOND AGE didn’t played becuse their drummer was beaten up day before the show and he gets his arm broken. Szymon, singer of Second Age joined Only Way Out to sing „True Till Death” and makes people wild. Yet, Second Age dudes prepared special big delicious vegan cake specially for this event and it will be remembered! During this show also ZLODZIEJE ROWEROW had their 10th year anniversary, band who is close to Refuse Rec like no one else, since their first release. It was great set with massive audience under the stage and I was seriously afraid about possible devastating stage and lights. And of course, during this special show we had special guest, one of the most inspiring active and sincere bands in todays Hardcore – WHAT HAPPENS NEXT from San Francisco. Devon, Craig, Robert and Max played so wild and manic show that people gets wild and some others couldn’t believe what they see. Intense as hell, it was essence of what we called hardcore, no bullshit, fucking fast and crazy on stage. There was lots of nice talking about polish old punk from the mouth of Devon, he finally crushed on stage at the end with bloody head and leg so you imagine what happened this day.
This show gave a me a lt of inspiration for next months. 400 people attented the show, even with people from Germany, Sweden, Finland, Belarus, which make it more international - atmosphere was absolutely great in my opinion, with lots of sXe, hardcore and punk kids (thing I was always fight for), DIY spirit and great bands. Thank you so much for everyone participated in this show, thank you for support!!
It was nice to have visit WHN friends at the Refuse HQ then and seein’ them fighting with my barkin dog. I joined them for another polish show and it was cool to hang out more with this nice people. Not so often we have so supporting worldwide DIY scene people from US, giving interest to international scenes. This is absolutely great band and great people if you ask me and I was glad to have them on this special to me festival.
SUMMER OPEN-AIR FESTIVAL in july – third time it happened, once again open-air and completely for free. I think a bit less people showed up than last year, but still around 1200 people which is a lot. This year weather makes us some stress but thankfull no rain after all. Still atmosphere was cool. There was much more metalcore sounds this year and it’s just happened, it wasn’t planned. So this time, Pyza from Cursed XX, my partner with organizing this event, was more satisfied. This year we have some foreign bands like NARZISS from Germany, ANALENA from Croatia playing great set, it was great to have them finally at the fest, DARWIN from Holland, SOON IN HERE from Israel (the only more old school sounding band on the fest), LAST HOURS OF TORMENT from UK and polish bands like SUNRISE, PIGNATION, AFRAID OF THAT DAY, LOST and CRIES OF THE TORMENTED. So much more metal in compare to last years and satisfied all those complaining about not enough this style in two last years.
Organizing this fest makes us pretty tired, we’ll see if it will happen next year. It’s not sure yet. Thanx for all being there this summer!
STRENGTH APPROACH polish dates – for a second time we had this italian old school heroes playing in Poland. This time on four shows in Nowy Sacz, Jaslo, Zambrow and Plock. All of this shows they played with israel band SOON IN HERE.
POINTING FINGER/CONFRONTO/NUEVA ETICA/INGEGNO DELLA CULTURA in august – pretty international show and it went absolutely great. Another succesful show and great fun, lots of circle pits etc. Both old school and metalcore bands together and believe me, it works very well and people seems support every band which is fantastic. During Pointing Finger show mr. Soundman asked me to stop the show because audience was so wild that almost crushed the stage, and some equipment was broke, which we forced to pay with other organizers (Patryk Sunrise). The show was really great and I was pretty satisfied, but a bit stressed out too because of the wild, but not aggresive, audience.
I SHOT CYRUS/XJIHEARTX/RESCUE 811/ONLY WAY OUT – another pretty international show and this is so fantastic. One brazilian band, two bands from Belarus and one polish band. This time a bit less people, 100 or so, people enjoyed but a bit more static than few last times. I guess the end of holidays isn’t so positive time so maybe that’s why. Anyway, I SHOT CYRUS was so fast and wild, great band, awesome people it was great to have them in Poland, especially that since their released CD on Refuse Records is very close band to my heart! XJIHEARTX is female fronted sXe hardcore band from Belarus and I can recommend their music and political lyrics to everyone, pretty emotive, but old school sounding hardcore. Other band was RESCUE 811 from Belarus, playing fast hc.
I SHOT CYRUS polish dates – on the next day brazilian friends played second show in Poland, in Poznan with belarus bands too. Around 150 people at the show and it was great to spent more time with them!
DISCARGA/SUNRISE/AFRAID OF THAT DAY/ANYWHERE BUT HERE/NIGHTMARE OF EXISTENCE – third part of brazilian HC series this year, and now brilliant DISCARGA. I’ve had bigger expectations from this show and what it went is that it was one of the smallest show I ever did and one of the most problematic to organize. Firstly, for a first time in history, I was forced to move to the show to another place and it’s just 5 days before the date. Also first week of the september is very hard for the shows here, especially after all this shows during summer. I loose a lot of money on this show. There was around 60-70 people at the show, which no one expected, having very well known here metalcore kings from Sunrise. We’ll, it’s happen sometimes and show was still very nice. DISCARGA played so wild, this is amazing band, and yet they played coversongs of Nations On Fire and Manliftingbanner and makes me crazy!
DISCARGA polish dates – DISCARGA played three more shows: Sosnowiec, Biala Podlaska and Lublin. I think Lublin was the best on this polish part of their tour. Great band.
NOW SOME MORE INFOS: I SHOT CYRUS UPDATES I SHOT CYRUS played succesful tour this summer thru Europe and played over 30 shows, playing important festivals like Pilsen and Ieper, so I guess many of you had a chance to see them. Now they’re keep on playing in Brazil, lately with US band Murder Suicide pact and now they started working on new songs. Next year they’re planning to play tour in USA together with DISCARGA, so all the US readers of this words, be warned, both awesome bands. There is also plans for I SHOT CYRUS/DISCARGA split LP/CD, and it’s hard to imagine what a killer this can be.
Anyway, first pressed of CD released on Refuse Records is almost gone, and soon we’ll have second press. It’s worldwide available thru DIY and honest distros. Ebullition Records will take care about wholesale distribution in US of this release, and it’s pretty nice.
Tape version of this Cd should be out soon, later also asian tape versions will be out on Karatekore from Malaysia and probably one in Indonesia.
BETERCORE NEW LINE-UP AND UPCOMING NEW RELEASES BETERCORE have a new line-up. Billi, one of the singers and the oldest person in the band left the band due to the lack of time for his kids and he’s concentrate only on his other band – Olho De Gato. New singer, joining crazy Reinco, is first Betergrrrl in the band, Sanne – known from playing before with bands like Beer For Breakfast and riot grrrl unit Bunnies On Strikes. In this line-up they crushed Scandinavia with their manic ultrafast hardcore assault.
Expect new releases from them soon, both split 7”s – one with german My Own Lies on FlowerViolence Records and second one with swedish Bruce Banner on Coalition Records!
VITAMIN X NEW SPLIT 7”, JAPANESE TOUR AND MORE The oldest straight-edge band in Holland, VITAMIN X from Amsterdam, have a very busy time. Their new 7”EP is out on King Friday Records from US and it’s a split release with Blind Society and it’s contains live recordings from both bands. There’s brazilian release on Peculio Records of their „Drawn the drain” CD and also tape version in Malaysian Karatekore and Uglysmokers tapes. And of course „Now it’s our turn” tape on Refuse Records. Not everything yet... 4 new songs should be out on compilation from Too Circle Records in Japan. Other japanese label, Good Luck Records will release six other new songs as a MCD with „People That Bleed” 7” on it. Eraly next year they’re going to studo again to record their third full length album for Havoc Records in US and then for a split 7” with No Time Left from US for Six Weeks Records So, it’s a lot to expect.
VITAMIN X is incredibly busy with touring – this summer they spent on brazilian tour, and now they finished their japanese tour. Next year another US tour and they should be play some smaller tours in Europe, and we have promised that finally Eastern Europe and Poland will have a chance to see them!
TIME X DISCOGRAPHY IN THE WORKS Great portugal straight edge HC band TIME X who played their last shows this year will have Complete Discography CD and it will be released on Best Times Records in Portugal. Expect great document of one othe best southern european straight eedge HC band ever.
First press of their 7” is almost gone as it will be repressed early next year. There’s lots of positive reviews and opinion about this 7”!
33 at 45 is a new band one some ex-members of Time X, they released demo tape and split 10” w/ Cinder. Check it out.
ZLODZIEJE ROWEROW UPDATE One of the most important polish bands, active since 10 years, ZLODZIEJE ROWEROW playing a lot of shows in Poland, most of them pretty crowded, always 200-350 people and great atmosphere. One of the shows they played in... jail! It was incredible experience from what I heard. Anyway, next year they’ll play also in other countries like Germany, Czech Republic, maybe Slovakia and definitely on the festival in Austria, in Linz, which happen on 5-6 of march next year. I’ll keep updated about their shows!
REGRES FULL LENGTH OUT SOON! Yes, that’s right, this Refuse Records next release and it’s should be out pretty soon. This time on CD format, and this polish band progressed a lot since their debut tape. Much better sounding, more intense old-school straight-edge hardcore played with their own unique sound and sincere lyrics. I can recommend this upcoming release.
They’re playing a lots shows in Poland, and next year they’ll play in other countries for a first time. More updates soon!
SECOND AGE NEW RECORDINGS AND NEW LINE-UP! Our youth crew sXe heroes, Second Age finally have a new line-up. They have new drummer and new second guitarist and now they more powerful than ever! In this line-up they recorded six new songs on upcoming 7”EP, which will be released next year. Not sure yet, if it will be released on Refuse Records – it’s very possible that one of the western european labels will release this piece of vinyl. This recordings is absolutely best thing they ever did and it’s one of the best thing I’ve heard from Eastern European old school hc band or even european band lately. New songs are a bit more melodic and anthemic than songs on their CD, anyway still with fast drums and bass, lots of choruses... Great sound too, and it makes great results. I’m proud to have such band in this country. Expect their upcoming release as it will be a blast!
Second Age will play on the festival in Linz, Austria on march next year and probably few other shows in Germany and Czech.
GOOD CLEAN FUN BACK TO EUROPE? There is a real possibilities that GCF will be back to Europe next year. More updates soon.
ONLY WAY OUT NOW WITH SECOND GUITAR ONLY WAY OUT have a new second guitarist, Artur, ex-April and ex-Oreiro. They’re planning to record two new songs on the compilations early next year.
Also they’ll play on the fest in Linz and maybe somewhere else, we’ll see!
Their 7” is almost gone so you need to hurry up if you still interested.
REACHING FORWARD ON DVD SOON That’s right, this great defunct Dutch sXe outfit will have DVD with lots of great stuff so thre’s something to wait!
LIAR NEW RECORD Belgian metalcore heroes have a new record and it’s a plit CD with polish SUNRISE, out on Lifeforce Records. Vinyl version of this record should be out soon in Belgium. Repress of their “Invictus” CD is out now on Genet. Tape version of this album on Refuse Records is completely sold out and I’m not sure if it will be repressed.
Liar will release new album next year and also kinda discography CD on Liberation Records from Brazil.
SOME COMPILATIONS There is some compilations released lately with some bands we released. In Portugal, there’s tape compilation “The Flame Still Burns” on Out Of Sight Rec with Vitamin X and Second Age songs on it.
Other one is released in Poland on cd-r as a part of the fanzine “Dump”#1 w/ Vitamin X, Only Way Out, Time X, Regres, Second Age and Good Clean Fun.
There’s also cd-r compilation released in Turkey, called “Dream of a world without... vol.2”, on Extreme Response Prod. w/ Betercore on it. There’s also bands like Ds-13, Cripple bastards. + ...2003 + THE END OF TIME X One of the best portugal's band ever, TIME X, played their last show in Lisbon with New Winds and Fight For Change. I've heard it was great and I can imagine that. We'll remember this great and important band! Check out other bands of this very nice people: Day Of The Dad, Pointing Finger, Mad Rats and 33at45.

It was released in cooperation wih few other sXe/HC labels: Boisleve Records (France), We're Gonna Fight Records (France), El Trasgo Records (France), Heart On Fire Records (Belgium), Kid For Life Records (France), In My Heart Empire (Spain) oraz T4 Collective (Philippines). It contains 39 songs of the 10 old school HC bands from different parts of the world with positive and political message: CITA ATTIEKSME (Latvia), CRICKBAT (Spain), FEUD (Philippines), MUTINY (USA), NO VIOLENCE (Brazil), ONLY WAY OUT (Poland), POINTING FINGER (Portugal), RAZLOG ZA (Croatia), SECOND COMBAT (Malaysia) oraz SINCERITY (Germany). So this compilation proving how DIY sXe and hardcore scene work together on international scale and that’s fantastic! Cd released in nice digi-pack with 72 minutes of music so please check it out and enjoy the record!
AFTER AFTERLIFE Spanish Afterlife did succesful tour thru Poland playing two shows in Czestochowa and Warszawa. I can tell you that they’re crazy dudes, they just played here two shows and two shows in Germnany and then go back to their homes in Barcelona! I’ve spent really good time with tehm and they’re shows were so great. In Czestochowa there was 100 people, good fun and atmosphere. In Warszawa it was great. Show took place in one of the most obscure place you can imagine but with cool venue and stage. 200 people showed up and it was one of the best shows here in last two years in Warszawa and definitely the best since last summer! Lots of stage dives, mosh, circle pits, lots of fun! All the Hc, sXe and punk kids together having fun with the band who played great, it was very inspiring! It seems that show in Warsaw are great as in the past! Thanx to the Afterlife for coming so far and playing great shows here!!
Next show is Refuse 10th anniversary fest with What happens Next, Cymeon X reunion, Zlodzieje Rowerow, Kto Ukradl Ciastka reunion, Second Age, Only Way Out, Juliette and Regres and I can’t even imagine what will happen there.
SOUTH AMERICAN STRAIGHT EDGE ATTACK THIS SUMMER!!! This summer four sXe bands from South America playing Poland, as well as many other european countries. Just yesterday I get the information that also NUEVA ETICA from Argentina and CONFRONTO from Brazil, both political vegan sXe bands will play in Warszawa. Both bands will play on 12.08. with Portugal sXe band POINTING FINGER and it seems trhat we’ll have great show! I think it’s awesome that more south american HC bands touring Europe (and also south european bands)... this is the thing that can destroy hardcore imperialism at last!
SOME NEWS FROM ONLY WAY OUT Their four new songs are just released on compilation CD „Take No Heroes”. They just add second guitar – Siasiek, guitarist of the old polish band from the early 90’s Kto Ukradl Ciastka will be playing with them, so that’s great! Kto Ukradl Ciastka was first band released by Refuse Records so I’m happy from this fact!
SENSATIONAL NEWS – CYMEON X REUNION SHOW ON REFUSE 10th ANNIVERSARY FEST!!! It’s not joke, legendary polish sXe hardcore band from the early 90’s will make special reunion show on the REFUSE 10th YEAR FEST! It will be big highlight of the polish scene this year and I’m so glad to have them of this show as it was big inspiration to whole sXe and hardcore scene in Poland, and yet great band. I’m expecting lots of fun and huge mosh during their old classic songs!!!
LIMITED COVER OF TIME X 7” Special limited cover to “Good moves not good players” were available at their last show eever in Barcelona on the HC fest. 25 was made and 20 of them were available. + ...2003+ SECOND AGE BACK ON TRACK WITH ORIGINAL LINE-UP Original drummer of Second Age is back to the band and it means that they’ll be more active in near future!

NEW RELEASE ON REFUSE RECORDS: TIME X 7”EP!! I am very glad to announce that final 7” of the great portugal sXe outfit TIME X is already out. Since week it’s available at our HQ and it seems that received good response as I get many orders to send all over the world. Their new 7” contains 8 very good sounding, fast modern youth crew-ish hardcore songs with both pissed off but positive and yet political lyrics. One of tyhe songs is the coversongs of legendary DYS. I’m really satisfied to have this release out and I can highly recommend to everyone this piece of vinyl!!
TIME X LAST SHOW!!! Nothing lasts forever, and this great band call it quit. Anyway, there will be one or two chances to see them in action so if you have possibilities, please go to see them and join the singalongs, stagedives and circle pits to make it very memorable acts. Time X will play on „Sell Our Souls” two days Festival in Barcelona on 19 of april. Many other bands playing there too like Liar, Cataract, Pointing Finger, Afterlife, Mad Rats, Day Of The Dead and others...
TRUTH IN MY HANDS IN WARSAW Yeah, we did show lately for italian old schoolers TRUTH IN MY HANDS, who played with two polish bands DULDUNG and SLOWA WE KRWI. It was really cool atmosphere, good fun during the italian band and 130 people so I’m really satisfied from the show. Next one: Afterlife from Spain on 25.04.
AFTERLIFE IN POLAND SOON! Yes, this great spanish band coming to Poland on two shows. They’ll play in Czestochowa and Warszawa. Refuse Records participate in this tour and I’m glad they were interested coming here as I think they’re one of the best sXe bands in Europe at the moment. Also it’s very rare thing that spanish band coming to Poland so good point for them! Until now there was a very few panish bands playing here – Kortatu in the 80’s, Bad Taste few years ago and Sin Dios in 2001. That’s it. Of course, it will be first spanish sXe band playing Eastern Europe
MUCH MORE SHOWS ON THE WAY! That’s right, Refuse Records is involved in many shows during next months. Lots of work but also chance to see many great bands. Except Afterlife in april, we’re doing some more shows and tours in upcoming months in Warszawa and other polish towns. Between 14-17 of june cool band from Germany is coming, THE CASANOVA ACTION. They’re playing driving mix of Refused and International Noise Conspiracy. Kinda other thing that I’m mostly doing but well, why not? Nice band anyway! Then on 29 of june we’ll have REFUSE 10th YEAR ANNIVERSARY FEST in Warszawa, very special and personal show to me. All the polish bands will play who are closest to my label as ZLODZIEJE ROWEROW, SECOND AGE, ONLY WAY OUT, JULIETTE, REGRES and also special reunion show of KTO UKRADL CIASTKA after 10 years (first band who released tape on Refuse) and special guest: bandana XXX thrash kings WHAT HAPPENS NEXT from San Francisco! I expect great show, lots of fun and also many old and new friends! All my friends from all parts of the world are invited, even I know it can be impossible to come here, anyway please feel welcomed!!!
Later on 26 of july we’re doing another summer fest near Warszawa, in Piaseczno. Not sure yet about all line-up, for sure at the moment we have ANALENA from Croatia, NARCISS from Germany and polish ones SUNRISE and LOST. More informations later. This year will be also for free and open-air as two last years.
In august STRENGTH APPROACH from Italy will come here to play 4 shows and then POINTING FINGER, sXe band from Portugal will play one show in Warszawa, and later brazilian sXe thrash outfit I SHOT CYRUS will come to break the heads on two shows. Early september brazilian DISCARGA will come to play 4 shows in Poland!!!
ZLODZIEJE ROWEROW ON SHOWS WITH APATIA Two famous polish bands Zlodzieje Rowerow and Apatia playing together several very succesful shows in Poland. It seems that audience are very enthusiastic about this common shows. Last one was in Bialystok with 350 people and great fun. Next shows in may.
REGRES CD IN THE WORKS Young promising sXe band from Poland, Regres, finishing their work on full-length CD called „Punk Rock to pozytyw” (Punk Rock is positive). I’ve heard songs already and I can tell you that’s more faster and better sounding old school HC than on their debut tape release. One of their new songs is just released on „Pasazer#17” compilation CD in Poland. + ...2003 + SECOND AGE ON COMPILATIONS On this same compilation there is one song of Second Age from their full length CD. Their song was released also on one tape-compilation in Czech Republic. It seems that band have a very bad luck lately. Their new drummer is left and it seems that they’ll take a break again.
REACHING FORWARD ON „IN DEFENSE OF OLD SCHOOL” COMPILATION One song of REACHING FORWARD is released now on „In Defense Of Old School” 7” compilation on Best Times Records in Portugal.
LIAR ON SPLIT CD WITH SUNRISE! That’s right, both band will have split CD on germa Lifeforce Records
JULIETTE ON REFUSE RECORDS!! New band joined Refuse Records and this time isn’t a sXe band and yet playing emo hardcore, but in the vein I really like – old Ebullition style mixed with french style of emo. Some of you maybe had a chance to see them playing on Ieper Festival in 2001. They’ll release a MCD at the end of the year.
New release on REFUSE RECORDS is finally out – „More Than The X On Our Hands”! It’s a repress of great compilation released originally as a 7” box set on Commitment Records from Holland, now available also as a double cassette. In meantime we did another show, first time since september. This time with more metal and heavy sounds, but I think it’s good for keepin some variety in our local HC scene. G.F.K. from canada played with BULLET PROOF (local nyhc band) but also great emo band from Poland – JULIETTE. It was nice, 80 people, cool atmosphere. + ...2003 + Z£ODZIEJE ROWERÓW playing more shows with APATIA around Poland.

New drummer of NEW WINDS is Carlos. Miguel left the band to start Vegan Shop in his town (Good luck bro!). This portugal outfit is going on tour to Brazil between 18.07-8.08 so watch out if you’re from South America. You’ll be amazed by this band and people I can guarantee so don’t miss them on this tour if you’re living near.
„A Spirit Filled Revolution” recordings will be ready probably in september.
So from now to all of you ignorants doesn’t able to speak english I’ll keep writing some words to keep you informed about what we’re doing here. First, I need to say that this websites are still in the works and still most of the stuff are in polish. I’ll work more on it, ok? All the prices in catalog are still in polish but if you’ll find something interested just let us know.
So what’s new in the label? As some you probably know last year wasn’t easy. Two really bad things happened to me: firstly I got arrested on may and spent two days in jail after Noc Walpurgii Festival we did with Emancypunx Collective. Then in august czech customs confiscated lots of stuff from distribution worth $3000. As you can imagine it’s a lot of money for small eastern european label/distribution and it’s really disaster... This two things had biggest impact on being unactive with new releases, some payments etc. I was thinking many times about giving up but well I’m not. Here I would like to thank you to all my great friends for support and help! Sometimes there’s a days when I’m feel like loosing believe in HC scene but after all this things I know that true HC spirit is alive and old this cliche lyrics about friendship aren’t false!
So, now after few months I’m getting ready to release some new stuff. On first few of last year four new titles was released on REFUSE RECORDS: SECOND AGE CD, ONLY WAY OUT 7”EP, REGRES cass. and new ZLODZIEJE ROWEROW CD.
Now I’m working on some new releases and three of them should available soon so expect them: TIME X „Good moves not good players” new 7”EP of this great Portugal band with 8-songs. Their probably best stuff so far and I can tell you that it’s really great one EP. Fast old-school XXX hardcore with both positive and political lyrics. Definitely one of the best bands in Europe right now.
Other release is a compilation CD with some european labels, coordinated by my old french friend Yann Boisleve with 10 old-school political HC bands called „Take no heroes”. Bands appearing on this compilation are NO VIOLENCE, MUTINY, POINTING FINGER, ONLY WAY OUT, CRICKBAT, RAZLOG ZA, CITA ATTIEKSME, FEUD, LOW PUNCH... I hope everything will be finished soon. Releasing compilations is always taking lots of the time.
Third upcoming release is double cassette version of famous „More Than The X On Our hands” compilation, originally released on Commitment Records as a 6 7’s box set and I guess almost sold out. It will contain huge booklet similar to original release.
This year will be busy as hell and I’m working on some new tape-releases like STRENGTH APPROACH, VITAMIN X, HIGHSCORE, BLOODPACT and probably more... Anyway I’ll have something great to offer then: new full length of great political straight edge band from Portugal NEW WINDS called „A spirit filled revolution” as a LP and CD. Friends from New Winds starting recordings next month and believe me, expect something awesome, both music and message with really huge booklet with many interesting stuff to read inside. I’m very impressed by having chance to release this album, knowing how this portugal guys are sincere and interested in many other issues than just music. Yet, they stick with REFUSE RECORDS even when they get some offers from more known labels from Western Europe and USA. If you loose your faith in HC check out NEW WINDS, this is what I can say. I’ll keep you updated about their recordings.
REFUSE RECORDS will participate also in great dutch fast-core band BETERCORE discography but more about it later.
