Recenzje / Reviews:

A compilation of one two two songs each (eight tracks total) from the current bands in the Warsaw, Poland scene, complete with a booklet of lyrics, links to their local scene and information on the Elba Squat in Warsaw. On the red-vinyl EP, BURST IN plays strong modern-style hardcore; GOVERNMENT FLU delivers straight-up wicked '80s hardcore; EL BANDA has two strong tracks of moody punk with what sounds like violin assisting the melody; the BLACK TAPES play ROCKET FROM THE CRYPT-ish punk; and SIX PACK kind of sound like BL'AST - they're headed towards recapturing an early '80s sound but colored by the speed and precision of a later hardcore sound. A cohesive and across-the-board good EP, and a great representation of their local scene. Awesome!

A WARSAW (Poland) local compilation 7" EP featuring up to date Warsaw Punk/HArdcore Bands with exclusive songs and this includes: EL BANDA, GOVERNMENT FLU, BURST IN, SIX PACK and THE BLACK TAPES. 8 Songs in total and RED VINYL - This is one of the better compilations i?ve heard and alone EL BANDA and GOVERNMENT FLU are worth the money!

Brand new compilation of 5 essential Polish HC and punk bands. You get one song from Burst In (tough HC sort of in the Bridge 9 school), 3 tracks from Government Flu (snotty early 80s HC), 2 tracks from El Banda (quirky female-fronted HC similar to later Post Regiment), and a track each from The Black Tapes (organ-laced garage punk) and Six Pack (noisy HC). It's rare when I hear a Polish band that isn't excellent... there's something about the cadence of the language and the passion with which the bands play that can make me perk up my ears and listen to bands I wouldn't otherwise. A great comp and this is already sold out from the label, so I probably won't be able to get a restock.
